CAMA's latest robot; the "Triaflex" is a custom made robot that was showcased for the first time at Interpack 2008.

The Triaflex can reach speeds of up to 150 cycles per minute, capable of functioning on single or double line tracking systems and carry out tasks which are particularly complicated technically, such as managing and loading products on continuous motion machines.

Triaflex is equipped with 4 controlled axes with carbon fibre arms designed for gripping or placing products into position.

For example, the Triaflex can be used for loading moving flow packs into a horizontal cartoning machine. Using the 360° head rotation, the Triaflex picks random products from the production line belt and positions them correctly into packaging materials.

"This robot is perfect for simplifying all product handling along a production line, from supply to loading," says Chris Rayner, Sales Director of CAMA UK.

"We have achieved the level of reliability and flexibility necessary, combining the highest level of movement control with fast handling speeds."

CAMA designs and develops its own line of robots entirely in house, and because CAMA has always invested in research and development, it is currently one of the few companies in Europe to have such a wide range of robotised and automated systems that are integrated with a vast array of packaging machines.

"Our robots are created to be integrated within our packaging systems and they meet our requirements of versatility and compactness," Rayner maintains.

"This is why our electrical cabinet is much more rationalised than that of an integrator, where an external robot is added to a line."

CAMA ensures that it ismeeting each of its clients' requirements by offering specialised solutions for every packaging need.
