Tagging genuine drugs with Kodak Traceless

Med-Health Pharma LLC, a prescription-drug repackager, has begun placing invisible markers on its packages via the Kodak Traceless System to distinguish genuine medications from dangerous counterfeits.

Med-Health Pharma delivers medications for point-of-care dispensing, a system that fills patients’ prescriptions at a physician’s office, rather than at a traditional pharmacy.

Offering the most widely prescribed drugs in packages of 10-30 doses, Med-Health Pharma provides pharmaceuticals patients need at the time of diagnosis or treatment.

“Using the Traceless System allows Med-Health Pharma to give physicians confidence in the prescriptions they provide their patients,” says Sam Haddad, vp of operations, Med-Health Pharma.

“This solution enables us to quickly and easily verify the authenticity of the medications we package and deliver to physicians.”

Counterfeit drugs are increasingly finding their way into the global distribution chains and ultimately into patients’ mouths.

"With manufacturers and enforcement agencies constantly seeking new tools and resources to combat the growing threat, anti-counterfeiting measures such as Kodak Traceless play a major role in preventing the proliferation of hazardous fakes," Haddad says.
