Specialist packaging company, Colorpak Limited (CLK) today advised that its half and full year results would be well ahead of previous expectations.

Colorpak's Managing Director, Mr Alex Commins, said the company was experiencing strong trading growth and had successfully bedded into its new Sydney operations.

Sales for this half are running at 10% ahead of the first half of last year and the margin has rebounded to around 20% of sales as a result of productivity gains from Sydney and Melbourne operations, said Mr Commins.

He listed the major reasons for the companys strong performance to date as:

  • The successful bedding in of new production facilities at the Regents Park plant in Sydney which has significantly enhanced Colorpaks ability to service the expanding NSW packaging market
  • Production efficiencies and productivity gains from both Sydney and Melbourne operations as a result of Colorpak's ongoing investment in world-class design, printing and packaging technologies
  • Growing demand from the pharmaceuticals, beverages and fast moving consumer goods industries — including major new contracts from existing customers
