Small brushless servomotor

Sydney-based Australian Baldor, a manufacturer of energy saving industrial motors, servomotors, drives and generators, has released a new smaller brushless servomotor to compliment and expand its existing product range.

Baldor’s BSM40R and BSM60R motors are compact, lightweight and are available in either metric or NEMA (stepping motor) mounting configurations.

These new motors enable designers to make use of the benefits of brushless technology, resulting in less maintenance, quieter operation and faster acceleration.

Typical applications include pharmaceuticals, electronic assembly, packaging, automation equipment, labelling and stepper motor upgrade packages.

They are designed to operate with Baldor’s compact brushless AC servo drive, the MicroFlex.
