Chadwicks, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of die-cut lidding, has assisted Fonterra Brands Australia in developing a new ice-cream packaging.
Fonterra has responded to the consumer trend for single serve portions, producing its first ever ice cream in snack pots, sold in packs of four.
It was necessary for the new product to look good on the shelves and appeal to consumers immediately, and imperative that the lids both looked good and were strong enough to protect the product.
The range was printed in state-of-the-art UV flexo.
John Savage, Manager - Australasia explained.
“The perforated polyester die-cut membrane is a reflection of what can be achieved in terms of product design and printability.
"With more and more business moving away from traditional substrates to polyester, it is fitting that Chadwicks continues to set new standards."
Chadwicks produces around 40 million die-cut membranes per week and exports more that 50% of its turnover with the Australia/New Zealand region being its largest export market.
