Sydney Materials Handling, a trade show dedicated to making materials handling safe and efficient, will be held for the first time alongside The Safety Show Sydney at the Sydney Showground from October 24 to 26.
With materials handling injuries effecting 17,000 workers in NSW each year, costing employers more than $370 million annually, a dedicated event to promote innovation in material handling was seen as necessary for members across the manufacturing industry, including the packaging industry.
Exhibitors including Caterpillar, Crown Equipment, Hako Australia and Linde Materials Handling will showcase materials and manual handling products and services, ranging from automated storage and retrieval systems through to robotics and voice recognition systems.
The technology on display will be complemented by workshops conducted by WorkCover NSW, the event’s principal sponsor.
