As part of a formal presentation ceremony, Minister for Western Sydney, Barbara Perry and guests visited the tna corporate support office in Sydney this week and presented tna’s founder, Alf Taylor, with the Western Sydney Industry Awards (WSIA) Entrepreneur of the Year Award.
She also congratulated the tna staff on a job well done in becoming a finalist in the Global Excellence category.
From humble beginnings 25 years ago in the Taylor family’s garage, tna has grown into a leading supplier of turn-key integrated packaging and processing solutions for food production companies worldwide.
"I couldn’t have done it without the help from all the people around me," said Taylor.
"The tna team represents the great and diverse talent abundant in Western Sydney’s business community."
The Honorable Barbara Perry officially announced the WSIA award winners at the Awards Gala night at Sydney Olympic Park in May and was visited tna to present the award.
During her visit, the minister and her guests toured tna’s headquarters, which houses 46 employees in research and development, sales, marketing, finance, human resources and project management and services.
tna also has a manufacturing facility in Croydon, Australia, and has sales and service teams throughout the world in Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East and the Americas, and employs more than 200 people worldwide.
tna, celebrating its 25th anniversary in business this year, has set the benchmark in the industry for vertical form, fill and seal (VFFS) packaging systems, creating highly efficient machines, using less parts with a simple design to increase maximum output and flexibility.
