IML packaging a winner

National Food’s relaunched its 1kg Yoplait tub 12 months ago using the latest injection moulding technology from VIP Packaging.

The new Yoplait tub replaced the traditional thermoformed high impact polystyrene (HIPS) packaging with a more robust tub featuring photo-quality in-mould labelling, innovative on-pack tamper evidence and custom design grip and pouring functions.

IMDA awards

The novel packaging format was awarded Best of Show at the first annual IMDA (In-Mold Decorating Association) awards held in the US on October 11th, which recognises the industry’s best in-mould labelling (IML) packaging and label designs.

VIP Packaging said it is proud to be at the forefront of this innovative development and to be leading the way, with National Foods, to rejuvenate the Australian dairy case and laying the foundations for further IML innovations.
