Technical information
Some of the Rapida 205’s major innovations include an inker declutching in every unit; automated make ready, including fully automatic plate changing, wash-up on blanket, plate and impression cylinders as standard features.
Changing stocks is easy, with no gripper setting adjustments required. The press also has a complete UV system for printing on plastic and other specialty substrates.
The press is designed to run at speeds of 9,000 sheets per hour (sph), with an exceptionally short inking unit with just 16 rollers allowing for low wastage and short washing times.
The 205 also offers substrate flexibility, including a wide range of paper, board and metallised stocks from 0.1mm up to 1.2mm and even 1.6mm on request.
